A message from our new principal...

Dear Westbrook Elementary Families,
Thank you for the opportunity to briefly introduce myself. My name is Jeannie Sung, and I am honored and excited to serve as the new Principal at Westbrook Elementary School. I’m very passionate about the social, emotional, and educational wellbeing of our students, and I look forward to partnering with you to provide our young learners with challenging, engaging, and high-quality primary years of learning experience.
I have been in the field of education for over 20 years, dedicating the last 13 years to educational leadership. I have been very fortunate with opportunities to work and grow in high-performing districts and international schools, where students come first.
It is a great privilege to have the opportunity to contribute to Westbrook’s commitment to build on the standard of excellence in education, as well as continue to foster positive school culture and community engagement. I look forward to working with the school's talented, committed faculty and staff and the supportive, active parents of Westbrook, ensuring that all students will have the opportunity to pursue excellence in their learning journey.
One of my key objectives as the new Principal of Westbrook is to get to know every member of the school community, starting with our littlest constituents, in order to build trusting relationships. I will be engaged in many listening visits, asking a lot of questions, and becoming a contributing member of the Westbrook family. I hope to meet and get to know many of you throughout the new school year.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve your families and the school community as the new Principal. Please stop by and say hello after July 1st, and do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions, thoughts or ideas you would like to share.
Jeannie Sung
